G. Derek Adams.
G. Derek Adams is a resonant waveform of bad jokes and questionable hair decisions. He is a demi-professional writer and works in sales as his day job. Adams was one of the Grand Prize Winners of the Sword & Laser Collection Contest (2015) and his novel Asteroid Made of Dragons was nominated for the inaugural Dragon Award.
Adams is a graduate of the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia and oh god this i’m already bored. I went to school people, it’s pretty common. He is also an actor and director in the Town & Gown Players – the oldest continually operational community theater in Georgia.
He is the author of Spell/Sword, The Riddle Box, and the Asteroid Made of Dragons.
He is also the co-host of the podcast Shadeaux Public Radio and The People v. Star Trek Voyager.
Sadly, he is not the author Derek Adams – but lives in eternal envy of his success.

Hey! Just wanted to stop by and thank you for subscribing to my blog.
And now I’ve learned you’re from Athens! I graduated from UGA in ’09 :] It’s nice to meet someone online (especially a writer) from the area. Had some good times with friends going to gaming/steampunk conventions in Atlanta.
Anyway, wanna keep this short. Good luck on NaNo!
Wow, small world Gally. I’ve been in Athens since ’98, weird to think we’ve walked a lot of the same turf. I mean, Tyche’s IS the only gaming store in Athens.
Not doing NaNo – indeed No NaNo for me this year. I’m directing Jesus Christ Superstar in town, and that’s absorbing a massive amount of time, psychic and creative energy.
Thanks for the encouragement!
Wow, directing sounds amazing! I’m sure that’s a much better project than NaNo :]
Tyches is pretty nice, but have you heard of Classic City Comics and Games on Baxter Street? I don’t remember if they have board games, but they definitely do tabletop.
Do you know want the know the Scariest thing about this whole conversation that took place back in November?
I know Gally. Hello Gally this is Jeff formally of Gamestop over by Target.
It’s been Years since we’ve seen each other but you look to be doing well.
It’s a small damn world.
Sad news — Classic City Comics and Games closed a couple of years ago.
Aww Well, I guess I’m not too surprised. My last semester there, I interviewed the guy who owned the shop and he said he was struggling like most people with the bad economy, and he relied on people to come in and get the latest comics every week and the Warhammer gamers to buy and play on the weekends. But at least Tyche’s is still around :]
Ha – still going strong, and reeking of Pocky. All hail, Tyche’s.
I’ve nominated you (or I’m going to nominate you) for the Versatile Blogger Award. I’m going to publish the post tomorrow, but I thought I’d just give you a heads up beforehand 🙂
Just popped over to thank you for subscribing to my new blog, as a new blogger I have not a clue about all the manners and spanners I can throw in the works.
No worries, Steve! My blog is fairly new as well, and I’m certainly producing a Faux Pas of Bloggery eight or nine times per day. Thanks for following!
I too want to thank you for subscribing! Your blog is fairly eclectic and I’m looking forward to having more time to read your stories.
Thank you so much, Tammy!

Fellow nerds, unite! Yay for creative science-fiction! I’m glad you followed my site so I could find yours.
What would you think about doing a collaboration sometime?
My plate’s pretty full at the moment, trying to stay on track for finishing the first draft of That Thing in the next month or so – plus normal blogging, and the endless deluge that is Lodestar — but color me intrigued? Drop me an email sometime and lets talk about it.
I have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award as I very much enjoy reading your posts.
The award is well deserved as you have a great blog and is also, admittedly, a bit of fun.
Like all these peer nominated awards there several things you have to do if you wish to accept it – details on my blog.
Very best wishes,
Woohoo, thanks Gerald! Your blog[s] is one of my faves as well.
Thank you for choosing to follow my blog. I’m looking forward to stealing some time away with your words and some very strong coffee. ~RDS
Thanks, Randall! I’m going to paw through your site as well, please ignore the Chee-toh stains.
HA! Chee-toh stains…. Know the feeling.
Hee hee: “Just a cool picture of Poirot. I look nothing like this.”
I nominated you for something….. http://hnsieverding.wordpress.com/2012/12/29/the-next-big-thing-blog-hop/
Awesome, thanks so much!
You’re very welcome 😉
[…] About […]
So many little connections to that old GameStop store. I miss those days (except for that one Thanksgiving when the idiots sealed the door shut.)
Hi there, your site’s got beautiful design and such interesting pieces, so I’m following! 🙂
